Shipping, returns and guarantee
We have not yet read Bonsai Boy of New York's policy pages, so we do not state its shipping areas, speed or guarantee. Before you pay, check at checkout:
- Which states it ships to (some plants cannot go to California, Arizona, Hawaii or Alaska, among others).
- When your order will ship, and whether it holds orders during very hot or cold weather.
- What happens if a plant arrives damaged: how many days you have to report it, whether photos are needed, and whether you get a replacement or refund.
How to buy smart from Bonsai Boy of New York
Buying bonsai online
- Know whether the species is indoor (for example ficus) or outdoor (for example juniper); outdoor species decline when kept inside.
- Judge age and trunk thickness from the listing photos rather than marketing words.
- Bonsai dry out quickly in small pots; water on arrival and check daily at first.
Sending a plant as a gift
- Check the delivery-date cutoff and whether the date is guaranteed or estimated.
- A potted plant lasts far longer than cut flowers; check whether the product is a plant or an arrangement.
- If the recipient has cats or dogs, check the plant first in our pet-safe checker.
- Choose an easy plant for someone new to plants and include the care basics.
