Shipping, returns and guarantee
We have not yet read California Carnivores's policy pages, so we do not state its shipping areas, speed or guarantee. Before you pay, check at checkout:
- Which states it ships to (some plants cannot go to California, Arizona, Hawaii or Alaska, among others).
- When your order will ship, and whether it holds orders during very hot or cold weather.
- What happens if a plant arrives damaged: how many days you have to report it, whether photos are needed, and whether you get a replacement or refund.
How to buy smart from California Carnivores
Buying carnivorous plants online
- Most carnivorous plants need rain, distilled or reverse-osmosis water, not tap water.
- Venus flytraps and many pitcher plants need a winter dormancy; a plant that looks dormant on arrival in winter may be normal.
- Plants are often shipped bare-root in moss; pot them in peat or sphagnum mixes, not regular potting soil.
